Bye-bye Car & Happy Easter
Over the Easter weekend we went to a city called Kingston to have Easter with Uncle John and Aunt Kelly. Daddy & Mommy co-ordinated this visit with the “bye-bye” of our car. (The new owner of our car lived in the same city as Uncle John so we dropped the car off that weekend.) Daddy & Mommy were a bit sad that afternoon after leaving the car but Mommy’s spirits picked up the next day when a bunny rabbit broke into Uncle John’s and Aunt Kelly’s place and left chocolates. Seems weird for a bunny to a) break-in and b) leave something instead of taking something, but this is still new to me. I did get time to check out a local play ground. I had so much fun there but then I tripped and fell down causing my lip to bleed and swell up. I wasn’t happy. Uncle John cheered me up by taking me over to see a big digger that was resting over in the dirt. Aside from the sore lip, I had a great time with Aunt Kelly and Uncle John. I look forward to visting them again!
Grandma & Granddad Wood’s visit
On their way back from a road trip, Granddad and Grandma Wood came for a visit. We hung out and took it easy. Granddad had to “inspect” our new SUV (which passed the Granddad tests) and I showed him my new steering wheel/horn toy. We also got to go to the “outdoorsmen Store” where there was a huge fishy tank and loads of cool toys for boys. Granddad showed me all the types of fish, while Grandma showed me some “framed” clothing….interesting, but who frames clothing? It goes in the washing machine, not on the wall!
Playground inspector
Mommy and I have been going to the park a lot since the weather is getting nice. To keep things fresh we’ve been testing out different play grounds in our area. Once, while Daddy was with us, we went all the way to Kitchener to check out a huge play area. I think my new role of play ground tester is loads of fun. I love checking out the sand boxes, the swings and the slides….oh the slides…..so much fun.
Grandma Ruth Birthday hike
To help Grandma Ruth celebrate her birthday, me, Daddy, Mommy & Uncle Toddie all met up with Grandma and we went on a nice hike to Rattlesnake point. I got my Daddy saddle on Daddy’s back and we went up and around this long trail. It was neat to see so far from the escarpment.
After our hike, we took Grandma out for a nice dinner, where I got to order my own meal from the kiddy menu. I was more preoccupied with putting things in Mommy’s water and grabbing ice from Daddy’s glass, but it was still neat to order my own meal.
Master Chef
I’m learning the tricks of the trade. When Mommy or Daddy cook meals they tend to show me what they are doing and how. Actually I insist that they show me. I think I’ve got the hang of things. Check out the video of me that Mommy took, where I’m getting my recipe and measurements ready.
