Week in Review November 4th to 17th

Party time at my place
On Monday, Mommy and I hosted Chrystal & Christina (two ladies Mommy met in pre-natal class) and their daughters Sloane & Olivia. They came over for a play date which was lots of fun. I showed them how some of my toys worked and they even shared some of their toys with me. Mommy and the other mommies watched us play while they chatted away about diapers, feedings, sleeping and Mommy stuff. I hope to host everyone again soon.

I love bath time
Did I ever blog about how much I love bath time? Every night, before bed, I get bath time. It’s awesome! I was never too sure about it but about 3 weeks ago I starting having bath time in the big boy bath tub which came with a bunch of bath toys. Now every night when I hear Daddy getting the bath tub ready I quickly crawl over. Sometimes I’m so excited that I can’t even wait to get all my clothes off before I crawl into the bathroom to help Daddy prepare the bath.

Rugby buddies
On Saturday, we got out earlier than usual and met up with Daddy’s old rugby buddy Scott, who was in town. We all went for breakfast and they chatted about Rugby in Bermuda and Scott told us about his baby daughter (who is about my age). Scott was really cool. He was admiring my superman shirt and he was trying to convince Mommy & Daddy of the benefits of getting a minivan like his.

Gordo’s Magical Land
Later in the afternoon on Saturday, we went in the car for a nice ride and when I woke up we seemed to be in some enchanted, magical forest. Turns out it was our buddy Gord’s place. He just bought a nice sized piece of land and we went up to see it. He had lots of cool stuff up there including an Elvis clock, Mickey Mouse hats, a Swedish chef puppet and some big woof woof puppies. We hung out at Gordo’s place for the afternoon and went on a nature walk.

Visitors and more visitors
Well two weeks ago things were a little slow but last week I hosted relative after relative. My first guests were my Uncle Jamie & Auntie Kristie, who came to visit me from Winnipeg. They are in the process of moving from Toronto to this place called Winterpeg and they took time out of their busy schedule to see me. It was good to have some quality time with them. I showed them how big my feet are and even tried on Uncle Jamie’s smelly shoes.

Next up, my Auntie Susan came to visit from Vancouver. She was in Toronto for a work seminar. She extended her stay in order to spend some time with me. She even spent two nights at our place and we had a sleep over. She was lots of fun and she had the honour and the privilege of changing my diaper. She even helped Mommy give me a bath. (Bathing me these days is a two person job).

Even my great Aunt Maggie came to see me for a short visit and she dropped off some yummy pastries for Mommy & Daddy.

Weigh in
I went to the doctor for my wellness check-up. Dr. S sure was happy to see me and she didn’t even give me any needles…..I think our relationship is getting better with every visit. I’m still growing and getting taller. I’m now 75 cm long.

Weeks in Review - October 22nd to November 3rd

Halloween
Well I’m not too sure about this thing called Halloween. Apparently your parents get to dress you up in some costume and parade you around. I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy pretending to be like my buddy George the Monkey, but I think Mommy had more fun dressing me up and watching me crawl around in that costume. It was worth it just to see her laugh so much.

On Halloween, Mommy took me to our friends’ place near Oshawa where I visited my good buddy Cameron. This was the first Halloween for Cameron and I and our parents sure wanted to make it fun. I was dressed as a “monkey” and Cameron as a “bumble bee”. Apparently we had the option to go from house to house and collect a “candy tax” from each home owner, but since we are too young to eat candy, there was no point in collecting the tax. But be forewarned homeowners…..the candy tax will be collected in years to come and it might even go up!

Visit from Uncle Toddy
My uncle Toddy came to visit our new place during the week. He came over for a few hours and I showed him my room. He was impressed. I also showed him how I can turn the light on and off and also use the DVD player’s ejected DVD tray as something to lean on or to pull on to get into a standing position.

Visiting Grandma & Great Uncle Pat
On Tuesday, Daddy took Mommy & I in the car and we went to visit Grandma Ruth for the afternoon. I thought we were just going for a nice visit, but we also went so Mommy and Daddy could get needles. Mommy was so good, she didn’t even make a fuss or cry or nothing. I held her hand the whole time. I’m proud of her. Daddy, on the other hand…….After that we went up to visit great uncle Pat, who has tons of cool toys. I took particular interest in his green toy car. I crawled to it as soon as I could get my jacket off. I loved driving around the house and steering around the furniture obstacles.
